Training Course Objectives:
By the end of this Offshore Structural Analysis Computer System (SACS) training course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand the Fundamentals of Offshore Structural Analysis : Learn the key principles of structural engineering as applied to offshore platforms and facilities, including load types, boundary conditions, and analysis requirements.
- Gain Proficiency in Using SACS Software : Develop hands-on skills in navigating and using the Offshore Structural Analysis Computer System (SACS) for modeling, analyzing, and designing offshore structures.
- Model Offshore Structures Effectively : Learn how to create accurate 3D models of offshore jackets, topsides, and subsea structures using SACS modules and tools.
- Perform Static and Dynamic Structural Analysis : Conduct linear and nonlinear static analyses, dynamic analyses (modal, spectral, time history), and wave/current loading analysis using SACS.
- Evaluate Structural Integrity and Code Compliance : Assess structural performance under environmental and operational loads and verify compliance with international offshore design codes such as API, ISO, and DNV.
- Analyze and Design Pile Foundations and Joint Strength : Use SACS features to perform pile-soil interaction analysis and evaluate jacket leg and brace joint strength and fatigue life.
- Perform Fatigue and Collapse Analysis : Learn how to evaluate fatigue life under cyclic loading and perform collapse checks for damaged and aged structures.
- Utilize SACS for Modifications and Life Extension Studies : Analyze and design structural modifications, assess structural requalification, and conduct life extension assessments of existing offshore platforms.
- Generate Engineering Reports and Documentation : Learn how to extract, format, and present structural analysis results and design reports for engineering documentation and project submission.
- Integrate SACS with Project Workflows : Understand how to incorporate SACS analysis into broader offshore engineering workflows, including design reviews, safety checks, and project approvals.
